Kato Thibaut works for the Cell Strategy and Policy at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) as Sustainability Coordinator. She is responsible, among other things, for the university's Climate Action Plan. Kato obtained her Master's degree in Engineering Science at the VUB, specializing as a Biomedical Engineer. During her postgraduate degree in Innovative Entrepreneurship, she discovered her passion for sustainability and decided to pursue a second Master's degree in Environment and Resource Management at VU University Amsterdam.
In her free time, you can find Kato in nature, where she works on a permaculture garden and food forest. In bad weather, she likes to get creative by upcycling second-hand items and clothing.
