Future Garden Featured in the Financial Times

LABIOMISTA's Future Garden — the home of artist Koen Vanmechelen and Chido Govera — has been featured in the Financial Times, as part of the paper's "At Home with the FT" interiors series.

Journalist Lee Sharrock visited Genk to see Future Garden firsthand: the carbon-neutral home designed by Vanmechelen with architect Buro B, built around the coexistence of humans, animals, art and science, and shared with tapirs. The feature explores the home's design and philosophy, from the maple-wood dining table where the couple hosts artists and scientists, to Chido Govera's research lab for the Future of Hope Foundation, to Vanmechelens artworks including "The Eggcord" and "See Me."

The article situates Future Garden within the wider Labiomista project — part wildlife sanctuary, part contemporary art destination, part scientific research centre — and connects it to Vanmechelen's concurrent solo exhibition, "We Thought We Were Alone," at Palazzo Rota Ivancich during the Venice Biennale.

Coverage like this in the Financial Times reflects the international resonance that Labiomista and its Cosmopolitan Renaissance vision continue to find.
